During the review stage of eDiscovery, managing the efforts of the review team is critical to the project's success. eExamine's™ versatile review management tools enable the Case Administrator to stay on top of the review team's progress and definitively report on the review's status at any point in time.
eExamine has the capability of automatically assigning documents in the review database so that each member of the review team has an equal number of documents to review. eExamine will display to individual reviewers the documents that have been automatically assigned to them, allowing the reviewer to begin work on their collection immediately. By default, only documents that have not yet been reviewed are displayed, though all documents can be viewed if desired.
Password-protected document access allows Case Administrators to restrict access to certain categories of data to specific reviewers.
Before the review teams begin, case-specific Issue Folders and Review Tags can be defined for the review template, steering review team efforts in specific directions. If new issues or categories emerge, they can be added to the case-specific review template at any time.
eExamine’s online ‘Workflow’ report provides a window into the current and past activities of all reviewers assigned to the review project, including log-in/out statistics and the number of documents reviewed, annotated, redacted, tagged or placed into Issue Folders. Any bottlenecks with a team or a particular reviewer can be easily detected and quickly resolved. Reports can be produced as Adobe™ PDF documents for easy retention or circulation.
eExamine's reporting tools are customizable, and specialized reports on unique issues important to an eDiscovery project can be readily generated.
Every time a search is run, eExamine stores it in the Search History database. The Search History screen displays all previously run searches in date order. While individual reviewers can only see their personal search history, Case Administrators can view the search history for all users, and have the ability to clear the search history database if desired.
